The Mission Committee has a “new” and very easy year round project for the SFPC family! Cents-Ability (formerly called “2 Cents a Meal”) is a national hunger action program started in 1974. Since then nearly 100 presbyteries have become involved in this important work. It is the committee’s hope that everyone will begin making it a habit of setting aside 5-10 cents for every meal, every day, every week and every month. The committee has available can labels and labeled Zip-Loc baggies for everyone to take home. These are located on the Mission credenza beneath the bulletin board near the kitchen.
Designate a jar, can, baggie or any container conveniently located in your kitchen. Then on the first Sunday of each month (starting February 7) bring your donation. The children in the congregation will take up this special collection during our worship. The Mission Committee will disperse the Cents-Ability monies to:  the Presbyterian Urban Mission for food (60%), the Edmond Mobile Meals (20%), and the Presbyterian Hunger Program (20%).
